Existing clients are much easier to sell products to then new clients. There is already a relationship present between your business and an existing client. You know that the existing client is interested in the products/services that you sell. You don't have to "convince" an existing client to buy from you rather than you're competitor. They will be more inclined to buy other things that you sell. Existing clients are a great resource to tap into, which most small business do not utilize. The cost of promoting to existing clients is minimal.

E-mail Marketing is a great way of accomplishing this! On a monthly basis, you can send an e-mail to your existing clients. This e-newsletter would include such things as new products or services you are offering OR products or services which are reduced in price. This will also expose your products or services to prospective buyers.
In order to create an e-mail distribution list for your promotional e-mails, you will need to get the e-mail addresses of your existing clients. You can attain this in several ways, one of which is to create a special members account for your "elite customers". In this account, you can provide provide members with updates on upcoming sales in your business. Frequent, loyal customers will LOVE this feature. You can offer other incentitives for signing up for an account. Be creative! Offer other features in your monthly e-mail blast, such as articles on various topics related to your products or services and other things that prospective clients might be interested in reading about.
